THE GREAT GATSBY: CH. 5 ACTIVE READING NOTES

Gatsby is so excited to hear that Nick agrees to invite Daisy over that he offers Nick a way to make money and someone to cut his grass. Nick declines. When the time comes for Gatsby's and Daisy's reunion, Gatsby is very nervous. At first the reunion starts off awkward, but later eases up and the two seem become accustomed with each other again. Gatsby gets his servant Klipspringer to play the music for them and Nick leaves when he feels like Gatsby and Daisy forgot that he was there.
