THE PEEVED PEDESTRIAN
I think that Ray Bradbury wrote Fahrenheit 451 to give people an idea of what the future could be like. Sometimes the tone in the novel seems to be informative. Bradbury even foreshadowed (even though he didn't know) some things we have today such as ear buds and flat screen TVs.

I'M A POET AND I KNOW IT
Narrator is Guy Montag
Cheeseburgers
I walked into the fast food restaurant.
I wanted a cheeseburger.
I ordered a cheeseburger.
I returned home,
and I ate the cheeseburger.

FAHRENHEIT 451
Five things I read on the Wikipedia page that I think are important are:
- Guy Montag is the protagonist
- The theme of the novel is the effects of television and mass media on the reading of literature.
- Clarisse makes more observations than other people.
- The firemen start fires, as opposed to putting them out.
- Guy Montag disobeys the law and has books hidden.

THEME FOR ENGLISH 3
I am not the person that teachers see me as. When I'm in the classroom, I am usually doing work and being quite/reserved. When I'm outside the class, I am usually more open and I put my "two cents" into conversations. In the future, as I pursue knowledge and find my place in the world, I do believe that I can be my real self. When I get to the gate at school I check to make sure that I look fine and usually keep some of my opinions to myself while I'm inside the school gates. Sometimes I feel that I have something to add to the learning experience of class, but I am to reserved to say it. I think the "powers-that-be" of the school admire that I am a hard worker. I feel compelled to keep some of my personal thoughts private and to myself. It is possible for me to take ownership of my learning process and demonstrate what I know, but as of right now my role in learning is a function of authority and power relationships.

SPRING SEMESTER PLAN 1
My smart plan for this semester is to get some of my blog posts featured on the main blog. Last semester I put a lot of work into some of my posts and I want my hard work to be shown off.

SPRING POST 1: MUSIC AS LITERATURE
Literature is creative or imaginative writing. This is the reason why music is considered literature. All music is creative in it's own way. Music has tone, mood, and a theme so how is it different from literature? When comparing a novel, a poem, a rap, a song, an opera, and a symphony, there really is no difference because they all contain literary elements.
