SCHLACHTOF EINS

• The main character is writing a book about Dresden 
• He goes to an old war friend, O'Hare, to remember more about the war.
• O'Hare's wife didn't like the main character at first because during the war he was just a kid and he was going to write the book as if he was a man.
• The main character slept in one of O'Hares kids rooms and read a book about the history of Dresden to try and remember events that happened.
• He read about a massacre where after, the only thing that could be heard was the birds chirping.
